Vernon, died at Vaparaiso, Ind. of typhoid fever. Elizabeth Rowley, d. 29 Nov 1880, age 91, spouse: Samuel Rowley died at residence of her son Jerome Rowley Esq. on Gambier St, born Conn., came with her husband to Ohio in 1814, settled first Muskingum Co., 1824 came to Miller Twp, Knox Co., her husband died in 1851, raised 6 children, 4 still living, Horace Rowley, Jerome Rowley, Mrs. Semanthe Winne, & Mrs. E. V. Vore, member Baptist Church 65 years, bur Mound View Cem. Isacher Rowley, d. 2 Oct 1885, b. 12 Apr 1815 a prominent citizen of Fredericktown, born Steuben Co., New York, came to Ohio in 1837 locating in Fredericktown. Married 3 times reared family of 7 children, survived by his 3rd wife, IOOF, bur Forest Cem. Mary E. [McKenzie] Rowley, d. 29 Dec 1888, b. 6 Aug 1822, spouse: Olney Perry Rowley resident of Gambier, bur Oak Grove Cem Samuel Rowley, d. 26 Nov 1851, age 65 died in this place, born Pittsford Co, Rutland Vt., bur Mound View Cem, 2 Dec paper Samuel Davis Sr, d. 23 Sep 1888, b. 11 Dec 1816, Spouse: Mahala Shaw suicide by shooting himself through the heart, born Mt Vernon at the corner of Main & Gambier St. now occipied by Armstrong & Rowley, married 15 Apr 1841, 6 children 5 still living: Mrs. H. H. Young, Mrs. H. Y. Rowley, Mrs. Samuel Lafever, Mrs. D. Quaid & M. J. Davis, dec. was a wagon maker by trade. 20 years served as Trustee of Clinton Twp, bur Mound Vew Cem. Edmund Virtue Brent, d. 23 Jun 1884, b. 15 Apr 1812, Spouse: Nancy Sapp resident of this county for 50 years, died at his residence on E. Chestnut St., born at Surry (London) Eng - came with is parents and family in 1829, settled Brooklyn, 1834 immigrate to Knox Co in 1834 settled in Brown Twp., married 7 Nov 1836, reared family of 10 children, 8 of whom are still living as follows: Edward, Cecila (Mrs. J.W. Mrs. Rowley died 2 Sep 1848, 2nd marriage Sarah A. Trimley they had 3 children: Eva C., an infant dec, & Anna R. who married George W. Mosier of Mt Gilead, Sarah Rowley died 6 May 1877, married 3rd Mrs. E. B. Neal sister of is 1st wife, bur Forest Cem. Jonathan Rowley, d. 15 Oct 1887, age 83y 4m 4d died at his residence on corner of Second & Chestnut St in this place (Fredericktown). Funeral at M.E. Church, bur Forest Cem.
