Oh Queries Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Oh/Knox?read=280 Surname: BONAR, DARLING, DOUGLASS, HYATT, KERR, RILEY, RINEHART, SHRIMPLIN ------------------------- My ancestors were early Knox County pioneers and I would appreciate communicating with anyone having a similar link to these lines. CHRISTIAN RINEHART married MARY DOUGLASS May 11, 1794 in NJ and moved to Knox Co.Oh.in 1816. Wm. DOUGLASS was the 1st white settler in Morris Twp. Knox County. Was he Mary's father, bro., or no relative at all? In 1812 BARNET BONAR emigrated from Wash. County, PA to Knox Co. and had the following children: David, Mathew, John, Wm. Ann, Martha, Sarah, Isabel, Margaret. MARTHA BONAR married ADAM RINEHART (son of Christian and Mary). They were my ggggrandparents. Their son DAVID RINEHART married HARRIET DARLING 12/18/1861. She was the dau. of ABRAHAM DARLING and HARRIET RILEY, married 1824. Who were Abraham Darling's parents and where was he from? HARRIET's parents were NICHOLAS RILEY and HANNAH SHRIMPLIN. Who were their parents? DAVID AND HARRIET RINEHART'S dau. SARAH RINEHART married ELISHA HYATT and their dau. MARTHA HYATT married BUNYAN BENJ. KERR. He was a descendant of JOHN KERR who was one of the founders of Fredericktown, Ohio. JOHN KERR went to Knox Co. from Franklin Co. Ohio in 1803, but I have been able to find no info. about him in Franklin Co. prior to 1803. Any information on these lines greatly appreciated. Thanks.
