    3. Need some help from Mount Vernon, Knox County, Ohio: I started researching my husband's family tree a little over a year ago. Following is what I have found on the Burke side so far: My husband: Gary Hamilton Burke born in Mt Vernon, Knox Co, OH 04 July 1946; his father Jack Hamilton Burke, GFather Tracy Arthur Burke- DOB 08 Aug 1889, Mt Vernon, OH; married Jessie Mae Agnew Burke Gessling- DOB 20 Nov 1888; GGF John Hamilton Burke- DOB 1863 DOD 1926 Mt Vernon, OH; married Mary Eva Williard Burke DOB 1863 DOD 1935 Mt Vernon, OH; GGF John Henry Agnew DOB 23 May 1860 DOD 11 April 1940 Mt Vernon, OH married Susie Mae Roberts Agnew DOB 23 June 1871 DOD 28 Nov 1957, Mt Vernon, OH; GGGF Robert Burke-1836 DOD 18 March 1863 married Sarah H Phillips Burke DOB 1836 DOD 14 Oct 1908 That's as far as I go.... We have a photo of John Hamilton Burke with 6 others who may be brothers and sisters....I keep coming across the names of Pharaoh Burke and a Julia Ann Burke but do not know where they fit into the family tree. Then I located the names of Moses and Mary...don't know where they belong either. I hope to visit Mt Vernon this summer to continue my research. Next question is: Where would I go to locate birth, marriage and death records in Mt Vernon? Will this information be found in the Probate Court? Do you have a library with genealogy records and if so where is the library located? I know I have a lot of questions in this post, but when I find just one more link...it is so exciting. Hoping to hear from someone in Knox County, Mt Vernon, Oh. jb Janis Burke Burke, P.I. email: janis@burkepi.com http://www.burkepi.com
