Oh Queries Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Oh/Knox?read=267 Surname: SHAFFNER, CURTIS, COWDEN ------------------------- I would like to correspond with anyone with ties to the George & Abraham SHAFFNER, David & Jonathan CURTIS, or David & James COWDEN families that lived in Knox CO, Clay and Morgan Twps, Ohio from about 1820 to 1840 before moving to Clark CO, Ill. sometime prior to 1850. Susan CURTIS, believed to be the daughter of David CURTIS married George Shaffner around 1820-1825 in Knox CO. Eveline CURTIS married Abraham Shaffner. A great granddaughter of David COWDEN married a daughter of George and Susan SHAFFNER in Illinois. So these families are a big part of my roots, but their history before Knox. CO gets murkier.
