Hello, all -- In a couple of weeks I will be travelling to Middletown, Ohio (Butler County) to visit my grandmother. When I visited her earlier this year, she had said that "one of these days" she would like to take a day trip up to Mount Vernon area and visit her grandparent's graves at Dennis Cemetery -- I'm hoping she'll be interested in doing this during my upcoming visit. I've identified what I believe to be the location of the cemetery, but can anyone share information regarding its condition and size, and is there a church or other parking (a cemetery roadway?) available nearby? My concern is that I would like to know in advance what to expect; I wouldn't want my grandmother to overexert herself in trying to walk thru the cemetery. She does walk generally well and steadily, though with a cane. We will be looking for the graves of her maternal grandparents, George (1859-1933) and Dorcas (1861-1898) WHARTON.
