Hello one and all, I am going to have a period of three to four hours free to spend in Mt. Vernon on Thursday. I wll be coming through on my way to Cleveland. Is there anything or anywhere that you would recommend I see or do while I am there? My Dad's family lived in Martinsburg and Bladensburg, and then he lived with his Grandmother in Mt. Vernon and Howard. Would I be wise to spend the time checking out the four towns or checking into records at the courthouse or library? Or a local cemetery?
