It has been a long time since I have posted anything but several names here are in my family so I will post what I know of them. My GGGrandfather William H. BLAIR was married to Levinia SHAW until her death on March 21,1850. They has eight children. On November 5,1850 William married Olive (nee MELTON), the widow of Samuel SIMPSON. Olive was born November 11, 1819, in Jefferson, OH. The marriage resulted in five children, the youngest was my Great-grandfather who was named Calvin Simpson BLAIR. William died Oct 07, 1898; Olive died Aug 25, 1890. They are buried together in the Wesley Chapel, United Methodist Church in Jefferson. Calvin married Sevena DEAKINS, daughter of William DEAKINS and Hestor BAKER. They had six children, five girls and one boy. Daughter Olive died at age 12 of Diphtheria in Cleveland. The surviving daughters were Hattie, Elsie, Mary Alice, and Ruth, who was my maternal grandmother; the only son was Frank. I do not know the family of Olive MELTON SIMPSON BLAIR before she married William. She must have been a fine woman. Bob McCann Manchester, NH Rmlm263@Aol.com
