Charneee, you didn't have to be a veteran to purchase what was called military land (Ohio military land district) in Ohio. In the Knox Co. area the land office was Zanesville Oh. You may have to write to; Archives-Library Divison Ohio Historical Society 1982 Velma Ave. Columbus, Oh 43211-2497 tell them what you are looking for.
