Would love a marriage license, obituary, or anything that would help. Cemetary plots, etc. Abraham was b. November 28, 1794 and died March 28, 1872. Harriet B. September 22,1804 and died Febuary 19, 1870 in Fredrickson, Knox County.

One of the cousins recently found a book compiled by Melba Pender Zinn called " Monongalia County (West ) Virginia Records of the District Superior and County Courts. He copied some of the pages and sent them to me. There are several mentions of a dispute that involved property that had belonged toWilliam Daugherty and lists his descendents one of which is Elizabeth Daugherty Rightmire also Mary Clark, Jane Daugherty wife of Abraham Elliott and I also found other information that William Daugherty had a son Jarvis Daugherty.. Included in the list of petitioners against the road is an Abraham Darling along with William Darling, Thomas Powell, Jas/Jac Hishshoe, James Morgan, Thomas Montgomery, Chas Montgomery, Peter Dewitt, Jas. Carrol, Peter Meydith, Joseph Kelso Robert Beatty, John Taylor, Andrew Johnson, and Samuel Hawkins. The location of the property was in Monongalia County Virginia and now is in Preston County West Virginia. I knew the Rightmire's had married in Monongalia in 1803 and then moved to Knox county around 1808. I always have suspected that they did not make the move alone so perhaps this is your Abraham Darling. This area is also very close to both Pennsylvania and Maryland. I didn't find any other mention of the Darling family, but I have only the pages that mentioned Rightmire and Daugherty.
