They could be buried in unmarked graves or graves where the tombstones are gone or unreadable. I also checked 'Knox County, Ohio Will Abstracts 1808-1877 but there is no Thomas listed. Be sure to check Morrow county. You could check the land records for Morrow and Knox counties to see if they owned land and what happened to it after they died.
