According to other sources, Thomas Mattocks married a Nancy Taylor (rather than Tabor) on 10 September 1833 in Knox County, Ohio. She was a widow so her maiden name may have been Tabor. Nancy Taylor & her family as well as Thomas Mattocks & his family can be found in the 1830 census of Knox County -- she in Clay Township on page 5/233 and he on page 231 also in Clay Township. Nancy Mattox (who married William Tuttle) could very well be the sister (or daughter?) of Thomas Mattocks. Are you saying you found Samuel, Peter, Henry, Joseph & Jacob Mattox all in Logan County?? What year?? How could I get a copy of Thomas' Franklin County, Ohio Will??? I keep trying to tie all the Ohio MATTOCKS-MATTICKS families to the Pennsylvania MATTOCKS'. I'm making some progress -- most recently putting the Williams/Defiance/Paulding Counties, Ohio MATTOCKS together and see where they hail from. A couple of members of the Coshocton County MATTICKS show as having been born in Crawford County, PA where there were so many MATTOCKS-MATTICKS in the 1800, 1810, 1820 & 1830 censuses. I'm participating in the FamilyTreeDNA.com MADDOX Group project and hope some answers will come soon. I'll be out of town til September 27th. Gene
