My ancestor, Adonijah Reed, was in the census of 1820 in Knox County, Wayne Township, Ohio, age 26, with 5 other members of his household-total of 6. Believe one was his wife and one was a daughter. Others could have been in-laws. Ages did not work out for being his siblings or parents. In the census of 1830, he was in Richland County, Madison Township, Ohio, all by himself. There are lots of possibilities, but is there any info of an epidemic or catastrophe happening in Knox County in the 1820's? Are there death or marriage records there that go back that far? Of course there is always the possibility he just LEFT, but doubt that he did that. He remarried in 1832 in Delaware County, Ohio, and remained in that family situation for the rest of his life. Thoughts or suggestions? Doris Reed Forsyth
