WOLFORD. b.1-26-1826 d.1-26-1899 in knox county,ohio.I know for a fact,he's buried in knox co. but not that he was born there. On his Death certificate,one of his daughters stated he was born in knox. My Mother has hunted for over 40 years looking through all the information Knox had to offer. Being the courthouse, cemetary's,will's etc.and has never found any evidence that puts Knox co.,Oh. as his birth place. I have resently discovered that the group he was in at the start of the Mexican War, the SANDUSKY RANGERS, came out of Wyandot co.,Oh. I plan to follow that lead to see if any of the Wolford's in that area are of my line. There was a GEORGE WOLFORD listed as one of the earlier settlers of BERLIN TWP., Knox co.oh. That GEORGE was from CONN. How can I find out more about Berlin Twp.? Also other then the 1830 cesus, if there where other Wolford's in the area at that time? Is Jim Avery still alive ?
