I think Kenyon College bookstore in Gambier has one 1876-1976. Not a lot of info on individuals. Norton's "1779-1862", printed in 1862, is informative. But Hill's printed in 1881 is best for early settlers, plenty of bio sketches, plus history of each township (including names of early settlers, justices of the peace, etc. in each). Also, "Past and Present" published in 1912. Quite a few bios of men from later times, mostly Masons. Norton's, Hill's and "Past and Present" are all available on Higginsons site. Also, available on microfilm through the LDS centers. They might have the film at the center in Mt Vernon. It's number 100032. All 3 books are on the same film. I was never able to find the books for sale in Mt Vernon, not even sure they have all of them at the library there. Also, I found a section on Knox County in Howe's 1851 "Historical Collections of Ohio" online. It names some early settlers. It was at: http://moa.umdl.umich.edu/ Hey, Carol Montrose, if you're reading this... how abt putting your 2 cents worth in? You know the area better than most of us. Pam
