I have a Morris Sharp, who married Larcena Disney (obit below). They, along with the rest of Larcena's parents and siblings moved to Ottawa Co. KS in the 1870s. While I know of his life and family in KS, I've only wondered about his Knox Co. family - I've never traced them. These Disneys were also Knox Co people. Is Morris Sharp one of yours? Sharp, Morris Delphos Republican (Ottawa Co, KS), October 30, 1914 Morris Sharp was born in Knox County, Ohio, March 5, 1839, and died at his home near Lamar, October 22, 1914, aged 75 years, 7 months and 17 days. In July, 1861, he enlisted in Company C 32 Ohio Volunteer Infantry. After serving four years and seven days he was honorably discharged. On December 25, 1867, he was married to Larcena S. Disney. To them were born two sons, H.E. and F.E., both of whom survive him and were at his bedside when the end peacefully came. He came to Kansas October, 1873, taking a homestead six miles west of Delphos, living on and improving the same for 15 years. March 11, 1901, he, with his family, moved to near Lamar, where he spent the remainder of his days. Mr. Sharp was of a very genial disposition, always looking on the bright side, never complaining, always ready to help anyone in need. His funeral took place from the family home October 24th at 12 p.m., conducted by G.S. Smith. A very large gathering of friends and neighbors assembled to pay a last and loving tribute to his memory. Interment in the Delphos Cemetery by the rites of the G.A.R. He leaves a wife, two sons, a grandson, three sisters and a multitude of friends to mourn his departure.
