But I've been stumped by my Grandfather and his roots. I know he came from Danville OH. His name was Walter Francis Davis. And supposedly he had a brother named Frank. Not sure where to go from here, but he was "farmed out" to a woman who our family called "Grandma Durbin. Her name was Ellen Durbin. I was named after her. I think this was her married name. He was born Dec 7th 1883. he died March 1978 in Zanesville, OH. I looked in the Ohio history death and found 1 Ellen Durbin who died 8/28/1922, which could be about right, but it says Williams county. I don't know where this is. I would like to know Ellen's maiden name, her husband's name, marriage date, and her Death date and where she's buried. Any information on Frank or Walter and their family would be much appreciated.
