Davis who was married to my Grandmother, Sabina Jane Kirkpatrick Thompson. I know that the family was in Knox Co. in 1917 because my mother, Dorothy Davis, was born there. I have her birth certificate and it lists Jon L. Davis as her father. I do not know when my grandparents married, but do know that my mother grew up believing that her father was killed by a train before her birth. I have some information that leads me to believ that was not true. I know that my mother, grandmother and the rest of the children moved to another county shortly after my mother's birth. I have not been able to find out anything on Jon. The 1920 census shows my grandmother as head of the household and no mention of Jon. Anyone with any ideas, please let me know. Thanks Patricia Phelps
