The purpose of the web site is to find and record as many branches of descendants of Robert Jackson (1620-1685) as possible and make a connection place for many Jacksons. A lot of the Knox County data was taken from the book by Oscar Burton Robbins which has much detail about these Jacksons including the story of their migration from New Jersey in 1814.
