We have been at a brick wall with the exception of Samuel Fayette Redman for a long time. Does anyone know where and when John Redman m. Sophia? Any help or direction would be welcome. Zabette JOHN REDMAN was born ca.1810 in Virginia, and died Aft. 1853 in Locke, Knox Co., Ohio. He married SOPHIA. She was born 1809 in Virginia. CORDELIA REDMAN, b. 1835; m. NEHEMIAH BUTTERFIELD, February 21, 1856, Knox Co., Ohio; b. Abt. 1830. Cordelia Redman married Nehemiah Butterfield on 2-21-1856, Wm S. Manville officiated. ii. SARAH REDMAN, b. 1837. iii. MARY REDMAN, b. 1839; m. ALBERT JAGGER, December 25, 1862, Knox Co., Ohio; b. Abt. 1835. Mary Redman married Albert Jagger on 12-25-1862, Wm S. Mansville officiated the marriage. iv. ELIZABETH REDMAN, b. 1841. v. SAMUEL FAYETTE REDMAN, b. May 27, 1844, Locke, Knox Co., Ohio; d. January 11, 1909, Walnut Grove, Greene Co., Missouri; m. EMMA ELIZABETH MOUSER, November 23, 1865, Locke, Knox Co., Ohio; b. October 03, 1844, Johnstown, Licking Co., Ohio; d. January 07, 1909, Walnut Grove, Greene Co., Missouri. Notes for SAMUEL FAYETTE REDMAN: Samuel Fayette Redman (enrolled on the 15th day of Nov. 1861 at Mt. Vernon, Ohio in, the 20th Reg. Co. G, in Ohio Volunteers for 3 years from 1861 to 1864, and re-listed for another two years) Interred in Turkey Creek Cemetery near Walnut Grove, Green Co., Missouri. They moved to Union Co., Iowa in 1867 where they engaged in farming. In 1886 they moved to a farm in Polk Co., Missouri, near Walnut Grove. He lived with his daughters family in Beaver Co., Oklahoma on a homestead type sod house in early 1900's. Also living with them was Martha (Hancock) Mouser, age 65, a guest born in Virginia. (This is Emma's Mother). vi. WILLIAM REDMAN, b. 1853.
