I can't find it on any map but I think it is in Knox County, Ohio. Was it renamed Gann, OH? Ruby W. BARNES was born in Brinkhaven, OH 19 Nov 1895. She married David Barrett COLE in 1922 and she died 18 Jan 1972 in Painesville, Lake Co, OH. They lived in Painesville, Lake Co., Ohio where they had two ch: William D. COLE (1923-1982) and another son b 1924 who is still living. Ruby's father was William Acquilla BARNES who was b 4 Jan 1867 Richland, Holmes Co, OH and d 1931 Granville, Licking Co, OH the s/o William B. BARNES and Martha Jane LODER. Her mother was Edith Jane ("Jenny") GREER b 1866 OH d 1953 Granville, Licking Co, OH, the d/o Alexander W. GREER and Caroline BAKER. Ruby BARNES had a sister, Mrs. Helen KELLEY of Mineola, N.Y.; a bro. Wendell BARNES of Evanston, Ill., and a bro. Emerson BARNES. Mary Kay, Brinkhaven is on St. Rt. 62 between Danville and Millersburg. It is definitely still there as my family also lived there.
