Their daughter Sarah, called Sallie, was my great-grandmother and was married to Dr. John Newton Phifer His son, Dr LeRoy Phifer was my grandfather, who was followed by my father, LeRoy Phifer Jr. Phifers were also from Knox County. I just found I have an old site on "myfamily.com" called Anthony Grant, Rebecca's father. I will be atraightening that site and adding all the Shumway info as soon as I can.
