I am interested in any information about the Rowley family in Knox County, Ohio. My husband descends from John Mott and Mary Rowley b. 1757 (dau of Jonathan Rowley b. 1729 and Elizabeth Hopkins b. 1738). Mary Rowley had brothers Hopkins b. 1758, Levi b. bet 1758-1767, Jonathan III b. bet 1760-1761, Joseph b. 1766, John b. 1768, Elihu b. 1772; and sisters Rebecca b. bet 1758-1773 and Elizabeth b. 1776. John Mott and Mary Rowley moved to Ohio from Brandon, Vermont in 1812 together with a number of Rowley relatives. I am sure your Levi Rowley must be a part of our family, but am unable to make a connection. Would like to hear from you if any of the names I have mentioned fit into whatever information you have. He married Lydia C. Rouse and had three sons: *Oscar E. Rowley *Amos A. Rowley *Andrew Rouse Rowley I am interested in any information anyone might have on Levi, especially related to his parentage. I suspect he is related to Daniel and Elihu Rowley who also resided in Miller Twp. during 1850, but am unsure of relation. I have fairly extensive information on Andrew Rowley and photos of the headstones of Lydia C. (Rouse) Rowley and her brother Erastus Seely Smith Rouse and would be happy to email them to interested parties.
