Ann is not listed in his probate of 1857 so she may have died prior to that date. They are both listed in the 1850 census of Pleasant Twp. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks John

Author: cbannes Surnames: 1234 Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.ohio.counties.knox/1158.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Just FYI, the extracted database on Ancestry.com that shows up as "Knox County Vital Records" and "Morrow County Vital Records" are actually a transcription of the biographical sketches from Hill's "History of Knox County" (1881). These should all be taken with a grain of salt, since they were self-submitted (or in many cases "descendant-submitted") biographies. Sometimes the facts were unknown and supposed; sometimes they were incorrectly entered by the typesetter (who was reading from hand-written material). They are helpful for pointing a direction in which to look, but they should not be taken as gospel. The CROUSE name appears in the following cases in the marriage, death, burial and birth records in Knox County: Marriage Records (1808-1898): CROUSE, George, married to Lydia MILKER (Melker) on 15 Jan 1824 by Rev James Scott. I have a copy of Catherine Crouse's obit. If you would like to see it. Tim Ross was a son-in-law. I do have a lot of info on the Crouse family. Please compare it and let me know how we can help each other. You can view all my records on my website, documents trees etc. at: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com./~hartsookballfamily There are three main sections to my website, as my site is becoming rather large. The Hartsook Family Genealaogy, The Ball Family Genealogy and The Chaney Family Genealogy. The Crouse family is in The Ball Family Genealogy. And I do have a lot on the Crouse family, sadly, not as much on the Ross family. I look forward to hearing from you, I am always eager to locate and add new information to my data base.
