A Margaret McMahon or she seemed to have been called Maggie, was married to James Colopy sometime before about 1885...probably in the area of Danville...their oldest child was my grandfather, Charles, although in the records someone has sent me his name is Paul..but it is my grandfather....That is about as much as I know. Hello, all -- In a couple of weeks I will be travelling to Middletown, Ohio (Butler County) to visit my grandmother. When I visited her earlier this year, she had said that "one of these days" she would like to take a day trip up to Mount Vernon area and visit her grandparent's graves at Dennis Cemetery -- I'm hoping she'll be interested in doing this during my upcoming visit. I've identified what I believe to be the location of the cemetery, but can anyone share information regarding its condition and size, and is there a church or other parking (a cemetery roadway?) available nearby? My concern is that I would like to know in advance what to expect; I wouldn't want my grandmother to overexert herself in trying to walk thru the cemetery. She does walk generally well and steadily, though with a cane. We will be looking for the graves of her maternal grandparents, George (1859-1933) and Dorcas (1861-1898) WHARTON. John Harrod's uncles were famous in earliest Ky [and se Pa an Il history].Guessing way back about 1710-20,both familes were from Monmouth Co,NJ.James Harrods Harrodsburg,Ky was 1774;Boonesboro 1775. Hi! I found a George and a Henry Mowsey listed in Howard Twp. Knox Co. in the 1830 census. Looks like Henry would be the age of a son of George. Later we find Henry Mowry in marriage and real estate records, but not in later census records. Is there anyone researching Mowsey, Mowry, Mowery, Moury in this area? There does not seem to be a connection of Henry and the Jacob Mowry family listed in Jefferson twp. Thanks and hope to connect. Nola in Indiana
