Hi Denise, I saw your e-mail about two cemeteries in Knox Co., OH. Do you have the books listing who's in those cemeteries? I'm looking for Minard LeFEVER/LaFEVER. Any information on how I might find out where he's buried would be greatly appreciated. Darla LeFEVER Lewis

Hi, I'm sorry but your Minard LaFever is not listed in the Cem book vol.1. I don't have volume 2 which covers the Mt Vernon Cemeteries - have someone check that book for you. Do you have William Lafever's will - it names son Minard Lafever? Denise Crawford > Hi Denise, I saw your e-mail about two cemeteries in Knox Co., OH. Looking for any information on a Henry Wade or Moses Wade. Henry I believe was born in Mt Vernon around 1788 and later moved to Frostburg, MD and then moved back to Ohio again and had son Moses who was born 11/16/1816. Henry was married to a Rachael McKenzie and they had other children (Henry, Amy/Emily, Nellie). Henry was a shoe maker. Henry's father was an Augustine Wade and was married to an Ellenor. Would appreciate any information. Michael wade522@juno.com
Thanks Mary and Denise.........The information on the Rightmire family in Hollister cemetery was what I was looking for. Have a "cuz" or two in that area that may be able to check it out a little closer. The Rightmire's could take a prize for naming children after relatives. The Rightmire's in the Workman cemetery are related also, but that Isaac is a nephew to the one in Hollister cemetery. The James in Workman Cemetary is James Jr, another son of James Sr and Elizabeth Rightmire. The dates of birth and death indicate this. I believe the Elizabeth in Hollister may be my grtgrtgrt Grandmother. Looking for where grtgrtgrt Grandfather is buried. He lived with his daughter Mahala Trott for many years after his wifes death and they moved to Hardin County Ohio near son Benjamin about 1855. His will was probated in Hardin County Ohio Nov. 1863, but so far we have not found his grave. Could he have been buried in Hollister? Were their any records or are the records a result of it being read later on ?If you know please let me know. Thanks again for the help. Appreciate it. Alice
The Knox Co, Ohio cemetery book is a result of members of the Knox Co, Ohio Historical Society visiting each cemetery and reading every grave marker. This project was started in 1957 and the book was published in 1991. Not every grave has a marker - some are unmarked, others are missing or destroyed, others just wore down and are unreadable. Your ancestor could have been buried in either county (Hardin or Knox). Hello, Your family is not on my "list" but I am interested in knowing the name of the paper your clippings are from, and the dates. I am looking for information about the family of John McKenzie. Family lore claims he was born in 1829 in Gambier. I had not heard of a Gambier paper before. Thanks Rosanne PS. There was a VanSickle family in Washington County IA in the 1900s. In 1956 I met an elderly lady, Effie VanSickle, in Westchester, IA and the name always stuck in my memory.
I have the Logsdons in my line...and I will check and see if I can come up with anyone named Sally. Cheryl Quinn
Thought I'd throw my LOGSDON/LOGSTON interest into the pile. Joseph LOGSTON/LOGSDON married Richard BAKER's widow Sally/Sarah after 1819 probably in Bedford Co. Pa. They moved to Hampshire Co. then Marshall Co. Va. w/ several of her children and possibly step children. Anyone run into this family? Would love to know Sarah/Sally's maiden name and her birth & death dates. Thanks in advance, Carol
Can anyone tell if you are working on a George Hunter b.1774 Maryland married a Jane of Tenn. They had a son name George Hunter b.February 4, 1821 Ohio. I am trying to find more information on this family. He son Lyman Hunter b. February 19, 1857 was my great grandfather. I hope somebody can help me. Thnak You, Becky
Hi Patricia, my name is Joan Wilson. I saw you e-mail on the Parkers and thought maybe you could help me on the family of Mary Polly Parker. She was born in 1777 in Maryland. Her father was Robert Parker, do not know her mothers name. She married my ggggrandfather Frederick Sapp. They were the parents of Druscills Sapp who married William Margers. Druscillis brother Samuel married Williams sister Susanna who are my gggrandparents. What a mixed up of family marriges. HA HA. I have very little information on the Parkers, so any help would be appreciated. Thank you Joan Patricia Hook wrote: > Hi Rosanne, > > Thanks for your reply.
