    3. Russ In the 'Cemetery Records of Knox County, Ohio Vol 1 there are 29 Drakes and in Vol 2, 22 Drakes. There are Park/Parkes also but didn't see any of the first names you listed. Sue ----- Original Message ----- From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, October 28, 2004 2:10 pm Subject: [OHKnox] Fallsbury Cemeteries Is anyone out there an expert on the cemeteries, located in Fallsbury, Fallsbury Township, Licking County? I recently came across an letter indicating that my gggrandfather & mother were buried in Fallsbury. During my visit in 2003, I walked the full length and width of Fallsbury Cemetery, and failed to find a stone for either one. Are there other cemeteries and/or did I miss their stones at Fallsbury Cemetery? Robert Drake b. 1 July 1775 and d. 25 April 1840 and Margaret Drake b. 30 July 1778 and d. 5 June 1845, accually last lived in Jackson Twp., Knox Co, just over the border from Licking Co. I have been a list member for about 3 yrs. with Licking, Muskingum and Knox, mostly watching other families match up with each other, I am hoping someone out there knows something about my family. I have been to the records departments of Newark, Zanesville and Mt Vernon, but no death records or indication of burial is to be found. I have copies of both of their wills from Knox Co. There is also a Park (Parke) connection, which I believe was Margaret's first husbands name. Rehumah Park and Uriah Parke (who I believe was the owner or editor of a Zanesville newspaper) show up in some of my records. Thank you, Note: I have sent this to the Licking & Muskingum List Russ Drake San Leandro, CA ==== OHKNOX Mailing List ==== Homepage for this list is http://www.rootsweb.com/~ohknox/ To search this list go to http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl and enter OHKNOX for the list name.

    3. I am doing research on Uriah Tracy who married Nancy Richardson in 1822 in Knox County. I am trying to connect Nancy with Edward Richardson who I believe was her father. If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it. Edward Richardson was born in Pennsylvania about 1773 and moved to Frederick County Maryland with his parents John Richardson and Christina Lane. He married Elizabeth Wright and moved to Cayuga County, New York and from there, settled in Knox County, Ohio (about 1818). He moved to Muscatine County, Iowa in 1849 and died there in 1854. I believe their children were: Nancy Richardson born about 1801 in Maryland Maria Richardson born 6 Apr 1806 in Maryland; md. Stephen Girard DeShong in Knox County. Joseph Wright Richardson born 10 Sep 1808 in Maryland; md. Lucina Watson in Knox County. Rachel Richardson born Mar 1813 in New York William Poultney Richardson born 10 Feb 1816 in New York; md. Caroline L. Keyes in Iowa. Ann Richardson md. Andrew T. Prouty in Knox County. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Diane Berry [email protected]

    3. In the 'Handybook for Genealogists' it says that a few counties in Ohio have birth and death records from as early as 1840. In Knox county birth and death records started in 1867. The only way to get earlier birth dates would be from tombstones, obituaries, family records, church records and some military pension files will list birthdates for children.
