Surnames: Peterson, McDonough, Reed, Linn, Higgins Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/GWB.2ACE/1277 Message Board Post: I am looking for further information on Daniel Peterson (1781-1849) and his wife Priscilla [-?-] (1783-1851) and their sons. Both Daniel and Priscilla were born in NJ and died in Franklin Twp, Morrow Co., OH. Daniel is listed in the 1840 Knox Co., OH census in Franklin Twp so it appears that he was in the part of Knox Co. that became part of Morrow Co. in 1848. It is believed that Daniel had eight sons. Westley/Wesley with wife Sarah McDonough and Hiram with wife Mercy Reed are definitely two of his sons. John with wife Margaret [-?-], Thomas with wife Lucinda McDonough, Daniel with wife Mary Linn, and Silas with wife Mahala Higgins are most likely four more sons. The oldest sons were born in NJ, the rest were born in that part of VA that is now WV.

Porter,(deceased) knew Kenny W. well. I remember Kenny too, Barely. Ok here goes. Don't hold me to this but I think Kenny's parents might have been Walt W. (can't remember wife's name) who owned the property adjoining MCGinnis. If this is untrue then I'm almost sure they were related like uncle or brother or cousin or??? I'll bet Byron Yearouse would know. And Dad would. But isn't that just like a parent to be dead when you need to ask them something important! Sorry I'm so dense here. The only thing that rings clear is when Mom & Dad got the news that Kenny had died and how shocked and upset they were. I'm remembering Kenny being part of our hunting gang and that Kenny looked like he could be my Dad's brother. That's about it for now. Maybe something will come back. You can e-mail me directly as I am no longer a member of Ancestory. Good luck, Cal

Surnames: JOHNSON / MAVIS Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/GWB.2ACE/1242.2 Message Board Post: There is a Jacob Johnson (b 1 Apr 1837; d 13 Nov 1906) and his wife Margaret Ann (Mavis) Johnson (b 18 Nov 1850; d unmarked) buried in Bladensburg Cemetery, Jackson Township, Knox Co, OH. Are you sure his wife's full name was Margaret Jane Pooder? The 1860 Census also lists a Margareth Mavis, b 1850, in Bladensburg (Jackson Twp, Knox Co). She is the daughter of James and Julia A Mavis. Also buried in Bladensburg Cemetery is Willis A Johnson (b 1871, d 1952) and his wife Stella (NMN) (b 1877, d 1961) and their unnamed infant daughter. Also, the 1900 Census (June 1900) places Jacob (age 63) living by himself in Jackson Township, Knox Co, OH. It also references him as "married 31 years" rather than "widowed". This would indicate that they were married about 1869, and probably in Knox Co. Have you tried the LDS site for other information? www.familysearch.org
