Have recently discovered the surname of Rhoda, wife of Elisha Brown. On the death certificate of one of their daughters, she was listed as Rhoda KNIGHT. Both were born in PA, A good many of both families had connections in Knox County. They were married about 1820/1821 as their first child was born about 1822. Also, there is a slight possibiliy that he could have been listed as Fred E. Brown, though he always signed imself as Elisha. According to all reords that I have found, they lived in Canaan Township, Marion/Morrow County. I have a good deal of information on all 6 of therr children, all born in OH, and will gladly share. The Mesa Regional Family History Center - located in Mesa, Arizona - has a web site that allows you to input any Family History Library film or fiche number and be told if that film/fiche is available at the Mesa Center. This is especially helpful for those coming in from out-of-town who want to know if the film/fiche is in the drawer vs. a film/fiche that would have to be ordered. To use this feature - go to FamilySearch.org - using the Family History Library Catalog - look up any Knox County, Ohio films, write down the numbers, and then go to the Mesa RFHC web page and type the film/fiche numbers in the Film Status and availability box. This feature works great and is a real time saver. http://www.mesarfhc.org/ Denise Crawford > The old computers at the LDS Family History Centers (FHCs) used to show > which films were on indefinite loan in which FHCs. Have you checked into the children of Johan Peter Lohr, his brother who moved to Augusta co. Va. I have only done collateral lines on later generations. I have been told, but seem to have lost my source, (See Dulls Early Settlers of York Co, Pa as a possibility), that Johan and his brother Conrad, sons of George and Anna Maria Lohr, immigrated to America and arrived here Sept 30 1754. Don't have what ship they may have come on. I have a couple of different names for George's wife also. Anna Maria and Maria Margaretha. Haven't got a clue which is correct.
