Knox County used to be Franklin County. I had to look there to find my grandmother from Knox County. Hope this helps. Helen

In the Knox County census of 1820, there are records for Adonijah Reed and James Reed with several people in their households. Is there anyone who is researching, or might know of any connection to them? Adonijah is of particular interest, as there are several members in his household, and he would have been about 26 years old. He later married (again ?) in 1832 and had a large family in Delaware County. Thoughts, suggestions or facts would be appreciated. Doris Reed Forsyth

The court house has books and little boxes for the old estates. If the FHL hasn't filmed them yet, the Knox County Courthouse should be able to help you out ('course they'll charge a fee or something). Or, better yet, you might try the Knox County Genealogical Society to see if there is someone there locally who could look it up for you.
