Thank you Carole. Mary Colopy's maiden name was Barry. She was a widow to John Henegan. After his death and Jonathan Colopy's wife Sara Berry ( w / e) died, Mary Barry Henegan married Jonathan Colopy. Her mother Mary Barry's maiden name was Harney. She was the widow of John Barry. John died not long after the family's arrival in Mt Vernon. He is buried in Mt. Calvary in Mt. Vernon. But I see no reference to his wife my Great, Great Grandmother. Jane Henegan's maiden name was Shaw. She may also have gone by Mary "Jane". Does anyone know if the obits in 1877 would refer to a cemetery? Thanks, Michele
Re: John Henegan d 1877; Mary Henegan Colopy (1901?), Mary Barry, Jane Henegan. Michele, I checked both Volumes 1 and 2 for all four names. There were two John Henegans listed but both died much later than 1877. There is no Mary Colopy who died in 1901. All other Mary Colopys have their maiden name listed; no Henegan maiden name. The only Mary Barry I found died in 1843, age 80y, buried at Five Corners/Disney Cemetery in Milford Twp. No Jane Henegan. I concentrated on Mount Calvary and St. Luke's and the only thing I could find (which you probably already have) is Henegan, Rollin H, s/o John & Mary (Berry), b. 1878, d.1952. Sorry, you have relatives like mine - well hidden! Carole
Carole, Could you please see if there is a entry in the cemetery books for John Henegan d 1877 and Mary Henegan Colopy? (1901?) I have had no luck in finding their burial places on foot. I am also looking for Mary Barry and Jane Henegan. All of the above attended church at Mt Vernon St Vincent De Paul and Danville St. Lukes. Thank you in advance for any info provided. The Atlas data has been scanned at 400 dpi and is presented in high quality Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF). Examples of some of the Atlas pages can be viewed by following the link to our web site below: http://www.historic-atlas-series.com/oh_map/oh_index.html Table of Contents includes: Counties, Cities, Agriculture, Canals, Climate Map, Climatology, Colleges, County Evolution, Land Grants of Ohio, Geological Map, Geology, History, Schools and Seminaries, Post Offices, Railways, Statistics and Surveys of Ohio. Multiple adjacent county maps are primarily useful for identifying 1868 transportation routes, railroads, canals, streams and rivers, cities, towns and villages, and early Ohio place names. The 25 city maps in the Atlas are much more detailed with many early government and industrial sites including: * schools, churches and cemeteries * streets, roads and railways * rivers, streams and canals * race tracks and fair grounds * post offices and government sites * industrial sites, furnaces and mills * hospitals and asylums and much, much more The Adobe Acrobat Reader for MS Windows is needed to view, zoom, pan and print from the PDF map images contained in this atlas; and is included free on each CD. No other software is necessary. The map data has been created and configured using the latest version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader (6.0) for MS Windows (98, 98SE, XP, NT and 2000). The maps may be viewed in earlier versions of the software as well; however, optimum use of the data can be expected using the Adobe Reader 6.0 that is included on this CD.
