We too are interested in the Taylors in Jefferson County and have just started to search this line. I have 2 ggg grandparents who were brother and sister - Edward Taylor (about 1762-8 Feb 1839) and Margaret (Taylor) Howden (1766-1841). They were children of Peter Taylor, believed born near Swanlinbar, County Cavan, Ireland. Edward Taylor married Elenor Hewit and they are buried in Mt Tabor Cemetery, Island Creek Twp, Jefferson Co, OH. Margaret married Andrew Howden and lived and died in Washington Co, PA near Beallsville. Edward and Eleanor (Hewit) Taylor had the following children: William; James; John; Edward; Thomas; Mary; Jane; Margaret; Eliza; Anna. Anna (1806-1884) who married James Crawford (1801- 1872) was my gg grandmother. Would be glad to hear from anyone with connections to this family. Doyle Ekey
