If you're still into the civil war, I have a great site for you. It is a searchable database of civil war photographs. I entered my maiden name, Newlin, and it tode me that there were 2 Newlin photos...I clicked on the 1st, and lo and behold, it was a listing for a photo of my grgrgrandfather, who I had no idea served in the war. He was a Quaker, from Pa, and it never entered my mind that he might have been involved! You may purchase a copy of these photos for $13.50 . I asked, on line, for information on how to obtain my copy, and the information came in the mail, less than 48 hours after I requested it.....renewed my faith in the Federal Government! http://carlisle-www.army.mil/usamhi/Photo/DB.html I would have no idea about scholarship monies available....perhaps someone else knows the answer to that one. I wouldn't even know where to ask!
