Hello All, Regarding the microfilm collection in the Ohio Room at the Schiappa Library: The microfilmed newspaper collection is extensive as per the information given by B. Osz, Past President of the Jefferson County Chapter, OGS for five years. You might say Bridgette's second home is the Ohio Room and she knows Jefferson County inside and out. She is also one of the few bonded genealogists who are permitted to work on the forgotten and lost records in the bowels of the Jefferson County Court House. As someone who spends much time in the Ohio Room (as it is my second home as well), I can not begin to tell you how helpful and extensive this collection is for the Ohio Valley. And Sandy Day, Ohio Room's Historical Librarian charges only $2.00 for searching fees. Where else can you obtain such material? She only does this for other genealogy addicts as she is the founder of the Jefferson County Chapter, OGS. And we all know how hard it is to research from afar.
