Dear Sandra and all list members, A message noted that a microfilm of Ohio obits might be available thru the Historical Society of Ohio Village. My search is currently in 3 counties - Jefferson, Stark and Harrison - and this seemed a possible spot to find the information I am seeking. I had not seen 'Ohio Village' mentioned in any of the sites I have visited in the past and hoped to get more info on it. My question was for general information about a specific sourse - a web address, phone number or s-mail address. (My dream was for a web-searchable site address.) I thank all who responded and will contact the many places which were suggested. Having never lived in Ohio, I admit to having little knowledge of the state or any its counties. The Jeff Co list has given me a wealth of information on the history of steamboats, steel and iron works, logging, and more. Altho I have not found any of the specific people I am looking for, I do have a much better sense of their lives and the areas in which they lived. This is only because all of you have given so freely of your knowledge and suggestions. I subscribe to several lists and regularly visit the query pages of others and have found that this is undoubtly the most active and most informative list. I regret that my question occasioned such a firestorm and apologize to all.
