Nicholas Gutshall was born ca. 1740 and baptised at the Baumholder Reformed Church in Germany. He died 27 Sep 1807 in Jefferson County, Ohio. He married (1) Elizabeth Nuss on 12 Sep 1758 (2) Margaret Nuss in Montgomery Co, PA. (3) Catherine Nuss (maybe) ??? Nicholas was the son of Christopher Gottschall/Gottschalk and his wife Maria Barbara (not totally proven yet). They and their little family arrived in this country on 20 Oct 1747 from Baumholder, Germany. He was naturalized on 07 Apr 176 while living in Alsace Twp, Berks County, PA. He was a locksmith by trade.
