Hi, speaking of the LDS. I just received the "Vital Records Index--North America" put out by them 4 CD's in the set for under $20. It says on the box "These CD's contain information taken from a partial collection of birth, christening, and marriage records of the U.S. and Canada. these records cover approximately 257 years from 1631 to 1888, containing about 4 million names." I also bought the one called. "Vital Records Index British Isles." I haven't had time to look at them yet but I'm sure there is a lot of useful information to be found in these CD's. Judie
