    3. Dear Researchers of the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia and Jefferson County, Ohio, Henry Critser owned fifty acres in Brooke County, [West] Virginia in 1802. The land is now in Hancock County. The tract was on the waters of "Tumbleston Run", which, as researcher Dale Patterson suggests, must be a jumbled spelling of TOMLINSON Run, in the area of New Manchester. The source for this information is The Brooke County Archives. Henry Critser's will was dated 17 Jul 1806. The source is "Will Abstracts of Brooke County". The text of the will mentions Henry Critser's wife, though not by name. Sons were Peter and John. Daughters were Lancy, Hannah, Kitty, Leah, Mary, Charity, Sarah and Agness. Executors were Anthony Middleswart and William Williamson. John Edie was a witneess. Note: Peter Critser lived his last years in Jefferson County, Ohio. Peter Critser died 27 Sep 1839 in Ross Township, Jefferson County, Ohio, and was buried in Bacon Ridge Cemetery. Queries: Can you help me locate Henry Critser's fifty-acre tract on Tomlinson Run more precisely? Please contact me if you have researched the persons named in this message. Thank you for your help.
