I recently got this reply from the webmaster of the web site of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Eastern States, General Land Office (GLO) Records Automation web site. I was asking about a military land warrent issued to my ancestor in Florida. "We only have a limited number of military bounty warrants entered into our GLO patent database as of yet. Most of those in our system are for War of 1812 service and were issued for lands in Arkansas, Missouri and Illinois; we also have some warrants for Revolutionary War service that were issued in Ohio. Those two types of warrants were bound in volumes specific to those states; the vast majority of military bounty warrants were not - those records will be scanned and indexed into our system several years down the road."
