How to Research Methodist History and Records or http://history.cc.ukans.edu/heritage/um/magnify.htm I was so excited to find this site as my gr gr gr grandfather was a methodist minister and I didn't know where or when he was born or where or when he died. For a search it does cost $25. What I got was an obituary write up of him in the Official Minutes of the M. P. Church Conference. (and a picture) It gave his birth place and date, father and mothers name. (Mothers maiden name), his life of service in the church and where, that he was a Civil War Veteran(what company he served with). Who he married, how many children (no names) When and where he died, and the church they took him to before he was buried. My question, can anyone who has access to a cemetery inscription book tell me if they can find a William and Elizabeth HARRIS. He was brought to the Hopewell Church in Jefferson County and then his casket was laid beside that of his wife. It doesn't say the name of the cemetery. He died May 12, 1912. Pam
