Hello, The second type of data in the NARA database that I thought might be of interest are scanned images of World War II Selective Service System Registration Cards for Ohio, FOR THE LAST NAMES STARTING WITH Aa-Ab. Obviously that's not a lot of names. But if you're one of the view, it's nice to see the both sides of the card with the signature, etc. I did some searches, using either a last name by itself, a county name by itself, or both as the keywords. For Jefferson Co. alone I got the last names ABBOTT, ABDELLA, ABELS, ABER, ABEREGG, ABERHART, ABOUD, ABRAHAM and ABRAM. To get to this site, 1. Go to http://www.nara.gov/nara/searchnail.html 2. Select NAIL Digital Copies Search 3. Enter the following parameters: Keywords: whatever you want Media Type: "Textual Records" NARA Units: "NARA's Great Lakes Region (Chicago, IL)" 4.
