Hello, Can anyone tell me how to go about obtaining land record information in a short amount of time? Jacob NARAGONG was awarded some land for his service in the War of 1812. He entered the Navy under Commodore Perry and served under Capt. Thomas Latta and Col. John Andrews from Jefferson County in Dec. 1812 and was honorably discharge six months later for frost bite. I would like to know where this land is located. I believe it may currently be in Harrison County, but Harrison was apart of Jefferson at that time. Would the information be at the Steubenville Land Office, or where else would I search, and what is the best way to go about it? Thanks Nicky Eickerman Vancouver, Wa.
