Since i am fairly new at this family search...I have a question on tax records...What kind of tax records should I be looking for? Income, Property, Local, State?? If they were farmers or farm laborer's would they have payed taxes? I am not familier with the kinds of taxes people payed in the 1850 to 1900...I hope some one can help me with this, so when looking...I look for the right documents... Thanks for any help Sarah
