Christopher Lance was born in 1742 in Sussex Co., New Jersey, it is assumed. He married Sarah Johnston in 1776 in Sussex Co., New Jersey. They migrated west landing in Steubenville, OH and there they settled in Cross Creek Twp. Christopher and Sarah are my 4th great grandparents. They had 11 or 12 children, with some or all being born in Ohio. The children of Christopher and Sarah migrated further west in to Holmes, Wayne, Summit and other counties in that area. Eventually some of the family migrated to Michigan. I am looking for information on Christopher and Sarah and in particular Christophers parents and siblings. Our information stops with Christopher. This August, the last Sunday, the Lance family will gather in Wooster, OH for the 100th reunion of gatherings of descendants of Christopher and Sarah.
