    1. GRIFFITH 1800's Bergholz area
    2. I have uncovered Griffith family in two different lines of my family. I have four brothers who (apparently) married four sisters and a male Griffith in the same time frame who married into a different line. I am trying to determine if he is of the same Griffith family? I'm needing to fill in some gaps of knowledge and am wondering if anyone has further descendant information on this family? Any help or a point in the right direction would be most appreciated. William HACKATHORN (d. 1916) m. Sara GRIFFITH Christian HACKATHORN (1850-1847) m.abt.1894 Matilda GRIFFITH Jacob HACKATHORN (1857-1941) m. Lucy Mary GRIFFITH (1880-1974) Crawford HACKATHORN (1869-1950) m. Eliza "Lyde" GRIFFITH (1878-1905) Emma MOORE (b. 1857) m. Joseph GRIFFITH (b. 1852) Children: Rose (b. 1878) Minnie (b.1884) Charles (b. 1886) Mordicia (b. 1888) Joseph J. (b. 1890) Edward (b. 1892) Bryan (b. 1897) In papers where Jane JOHNSON Moore, widow of Charles MOORE, was applying for his Civil War pension; one Joseph GRIFFITH and one Lucy HACKATHORN were among those that vouched for Jane. This is the single item that makes me want to tie these Griffiths together. Does anyone know this family? Hollie Ann Henke holliefrog@aol.com
