Mitch, Thanks so much for responding! My ancestor's name was Edward Jackson BROWN from Jefferson Co. , Ohio. The other names were William BARCUS/BARKHURST and William ROE...they too were from Jefferson Co. I know that Brown & Barcus were still living in 1900, not sure about Roe.
