One of the best histories I have read of Jefferson County, Ohio, is in two editions of the books which were put out by the Ohio Archaeological and Historical Publications of Columbus, Ohio. These books were published yearly by this group. The two which have history of Jefferson county are Volume 6, printed in 1898, and volume 8 , printed in 1900. The articles in both books are entitled Pathfinders of Jefferson County, by W. H. Hunter. They give much genealogical and historical information. I do not know where they would be available, however.
