Married to Ebenezer ROE 15 Sept. 1842 in Jefferson Co Oh. They were my g-g-grandparents. I don't know anything further about Catherine. John Westly BATEMAN born about 1815 in Maryland (I think) and died 27 Aug 1900, married Mary (I was told her maiden name was WHEELER). Their children: Edward born abt 1863, Rachel born abt. 1865 and Elizabeth (my g-grandmother) born 23 Apr 1868 in Shortcreek, W.Va. Elizabeth married George McClellan ROE 22 Jul 1883. Also I have in my notes: Edward BATEMAN--single, farmer, born Brush Creek Twp., died there 27 June 1884, age 21 yrs. 4 mos. 3 days of consumption. Also: Elmer (female) BATEMAN child of John Bateman and Mattie Flowers born Grover, died there 11 Apr. 1886 age 3 mos. of lung fever.
