    3. Sarah, You are very unlikely to find a birth record in any county court record in a birth index as most states / counties did not require recording births until much later. If the people died in Jefferson County you might try looking in Probate records for Wills or estate inventories which will sometime give details as to ages and birth information. Also a county history might include the people you search for and these sometimes go into great detail on family history. When you post to this or any list always mention who you are looking for, it can't hurt and you never know when someone might be online who recognizes your names. Also go to the Rootsweb surname area and see if there is a list for the surname you are researching and post your names there.
