    3. Sue, There is a J. Shouse listed in the 1871 Jeff. Co. Atlas. J. Shouse lived on Hogues, between Market and Washington Sts., in Steubenville. Not surprisingly, there is a steamboat landing at the end of Market, and Hogues is the second street in from the river. There are no Parmer's.
