I am looking for information on the CRISWELL surname in Jeff. County between 1900 and 1920. Specifically William and Susan, and their adult sons Thomas and Melvin. Thomas was listed in the Jefferson 1920 and Harrison 1920 census (evidently moved counties in between ) but I don't know much more about him. Melvin is identified as "of Adena" in his brother John's obit in 1914, but family history has it that he was a hobo. I am descended from their brother Shelton. Other siblings were Belle (we can't find her) and Callie, who married John MCCLINTOCK and lived in Belmont County. Any help would be appreciated. I have lots of info on Shelton's family, but little on these siblings. Also desperately looking for a death record for William, who died around 1920. Alll are supposedly buried in Rehobeth Cemetary. Anybody know of any records for burials there? There is only one Criswell stone, and it is for John's sons. Whole family was based in York. I am also interested in records for the town, as John owned several properties there. Thanks. Janice Criswell Griffin Dayton, Ohio
